DH’s claim. The point is the child trafficking, not his orientation.
Right. And it’s one thing to be spouting off day after day about someone causing blue tongues and spur rubs. It’s another to start publicly spreading accusations of child grooming and trafficking and ALSO throwing the national org under the bus in the comments for saying it has all but turned a blind eye and signed off on it by funding his USEF program.
I would think all she makes on her social media channels goes straight to paying her attorney’s fees. Because you know she has to keep one on retainer.
She’s starting a NEW program dontcha know. Going to revolutionize the entire industry.
At least according to tik tok.
Slander is spoken, libel is written. Slander is much harder to prove.
I thought i had her blocked on all SM until she showed up on my FYP on TT. Guess she’s moved on to RV’ing or is living in an RV in NC. Either way still starved for attention.
Years back likely before the horse SM, SW tried to run a lifestyle channel that faded out fast called something like Awesomeness, where she showed hotel stays and beach vacations. My vague memory is that she pretended these places were sponsoring her when in fact she was paying her own way, or her trust fund was. That was the opposite of how most crooked SM creators do it, pretending they just bought things out of pocket that are actually paid ads.
So RV Awesome does sound like her style.
Thing is, I think the RV or tiny home or van life “awesome” moment has long passed on SM as more people realize that it’s not that far off just being plain old homeless. In my metro area, every back street has RVs parked and people discretely living in them, and further out messy semi permanent RV camps up logging roads.
I appreciate you sharing that so I can block this account too. I don’t want to hear her yelling at kids on the internet or her opinions on RVs.
While I think it’s deplorable for SW to make this accusation, Mardi1 is right in that being gay would in no way stop a man from grooming young girls for trafficking.
I believe if that or ANY event had even 50% catastrophic falls, they would have halted the event at that point and not continued. She’s going to continue as long as people subscribe to her YouTube channel, because she’s making money. I would think that if this or any legitimate event were aware of these accusations, they’d send her a legal notice to “retract” the statement and correct it or face legal charges.
It looks like Shannon Dueck is punching back with a lawsuit against DH. Now that is something I would contribute to. Shannon lost her horse to a catastrophic injury and DH claims she put the horse down for the insurance payout. I won’t click on DH so did not see the actual back and forth but go Shannon!!
I saw it. The video started off with pointing out how most dressage horses are put down for insurance money if they aren’t performing by age 10-11. Which led to her point out Shannon’s horse. After the internet went crazy defending Shannon she posted a subsequent video of one of Angel’s tests where she went on about the horse having nerved ears While there is some validity in her crazy sometimes other times she just makes shit up for rage bait.
Just. Unreal.
I’ve never understood that woman’s dedication to verbal cruelty. Like that’s an admirable niche to fill.
I’m guessing she’d argue in a lawsuit that she has the right to free speech and she’s merely creating speculative entertainment blahblahblah. She is the Alex Jones of Horsedom.

DEFAMATION.
Defamation is a statement that injures a third party’s reputation. The tort of defamation includes both libel (written statements) and slander (spoken statements). State common law and statutory law governs defamation actions, and each state varies in their standards for defamation and potential damages . Defamation is a tricky area of law as the lines between stating an opinion versus a fact can be vague, and defamation tests the limits of the first amendment freedoms of speech and press.
Elements
To prove prima facie defamation, a plaintiff must show four things: 1) a false statement purporting to be fact; 2) publication or communication of that statement to a third person; 3) fault amounting to at least negligence ; and 4) damages , or some harm caused to the reputation of the person or entity who is the subject of the statement.
I bet Shannon can prove defamation!
No. 4 is the challenge, especially if there was an overwhelming positive response to her (Shannon’s) rebuttal. And financial harm as a direct result is even more difficult unless you have testimony that business was lost due to DHs comments. Just losing clients, clinics or judging gigs wouldn’t qualify because people lose those all the time for a variety of reasons.
Except that DH produced a video on Youtube where she claims Shannon nerved her horse’s ears. All you’d need to do is show the number of views that that video has had, and the comments attached to prove that harm to Shannon’s reputation has occurred.
The fact that DH has accused Shannon of criminal activities (insurance fraud), not just of being “a bad rider”… might be her undoing.
Here is the video. 9k views in 6 days, with the potential to reach 57k subscribers. She links the horse’s death to a conversation about insurance fraud (“more valuable dead than alive”) without actually stating that Angel was PTS for this reason, but a reasonable person would follow the inference. She then moves on to suggesting that Angel’s ears were nerved - and the comment section explodes with “how cruel!”, “should be banned!”.
IANAL but that is a pretty good foundation for proving reputational harm, and that isn’t even the Facebook page.
My TB mare would flop her ears at the walk, trot, and canter when she was relaxed. It was so cute to see her big ears flopping back and forth with each stride. As to DH, it would give me great pleasure to see her sued into oblivion.
I despise dressage hub but there’s some pretty damning visuals going around of Velegros mouth I haven’t seen reported anywhere else.
I guess no one remembers George William’s mare Rocher. She was famous for her generously sized and most relaxed floppy ears.
