I searched it using the horse’s name. She showed in 2009 and 2011 with low to mid 50s and 60s. In 2011, she showed in an FEI test of choice class and got a 55.70 and a 58.33.
She sold the horse after leaving SJ’s barn. I don’t know where she went and who handled the sale, but back then I think she blogged about it on Horse Junkies?
I would never pay, I can’t believe people pay that site.

Not that I know of. I do think that the idea of bringing Welly to the rest of us is a great idea. Not just glimpses of the riders, but the stories from the grooms and working students, how people are making their lives happen.
But living with a horse in Welly isn’t cheap, so I have no idea how such a thing could be made liveable for someone who isn’t a trust funder. I don’t think the audience is there in great ebough numbers. I could be wrong.
A friend of mine once said about Wellington “I don’t care how the other half lives.” Well, to me, that isn’t Wellington. Sure a couple of rich people live there. 
But to me it’s a place where you can be surrounded by people working hard to make their riding dreams happen. I adore the place.

EC doesn’t require payment? I searched her as Susan first name and her last name was a bit off from how it’s been spelled on COTH, but right area.
Her scoresbran from the 50s to mid 60s at some of the lower levels. Nothing to scoff at for an adult ammie with some position problems but nothing to say she needed to ride at Wellington.
As far as I can tell there is no real advantage to lower level ammies doing the lower levels or tiny courses at a big show, if it means spending a lot of money. Would you go to HITS California to ride the 2 foot 6?
A place for the finalists, as Joan Didion said about New York City.

On a moderate sidetrack, it is certainly not unheard of for a trainer to tell a client they HAFF to go to Wellington in cases like this where average rider has purchased a very nice horse. So trainer can show it.
And dude, of course people go to big shows to jump tiny classes/ride lower levels. That’s why they started having these classes (pretty recently too). I actually think that it is super for accessibility in the sport. It’s a lovely experience (for those who can afford it).

I was blocked from Dressage Hub a while back when I pointed out a lot of blatant hypocrisy and asked why that was par for the course. I [edit] wondered why she had so many fans.
Something similar recently happened on the Blue Tongue Alumni page - a lunge photo was posted that supposedly showed egregious abuse and evil and satanic worship and God knows what other horrors I could not see. These scrums are always started by the same small, select group - at least two of which are actually the same person. She goes from one Dressage page/forum to another with her personal crusades/witch hunts/tirades/“evidence”… maybe following in SW’s sainted footsteps.

I agree totally. What a lot of people don’t realize is that Wellington doesn’t just offer CDIs and classes for the highest level riders. There is White Fences, The Ridge offers a dressage schooling show series, Gold Coast offers several national level shows, and running concurrently with the CDIs are national shows. Believe it or not, it’s a lot of regular people.

Well, based on SW’s Canadian scores and on her lesson video, I think she still had plenty of room to develop in Canada, even in Edmonton Alberta, before she “needed” to get to Florida to take the next step. If she just wanted to get away from the snow, that’s a valid reason!
Moving to Florida could be an easier choice for an American, no visa or work permits or border hassles involved. It’s a big investment in time money and lost opportunity (can’t work) for a foreigner, and probably not the most long term useful choice for a mediocre ammie from Canada.
Speaking of which … If she’s overstayed her visa you could get ICE after her. Joke.
If she’s really slandering folks online a few cease and desist letters from lawyers would shut her down. I am sure there are lawyers doing lessons with some of these trainers. They might be willing to fire off a few letters pro bono. From what everyone is saying it’s probably time this was all taken down.

So now I understand the backstory against SJ, and her tirades against Jill Irving stem from her claims that Jill “physically attacked” her, but does anyone know what her beef with Brittany Fraser is about? She was pretty vicious towards her - curious if it’s just because Brittany didn’t want SW recording her or using her videos, or is there more to the story? Or maybe just plain old jealousy?
With people displaying the behavior of SW there almost doesn’t have to be any real back story. Or rather, there will be back stories everywhere because people like that will fight with everyone they work with eventually. It does sound like she saves a lot of spite for other Canadians which is like really hating the kid from your block who made good, because why isn’t it you?

I think it is interesting that the FB avatar shows an overflexed horse. I know it’s art but I would choose a “proud of itself/happy” horse instead of this one… just IMHO

On her personal page, her explanation for deleting comments that don’t agree with her opinion about certain videos, in other words she actively removes any and all negative feedback on purpose to make it look like she has a good reputation.

This should scare the crap out of those riders who have never met me but have chosen to bully me and call my clients. Within 18 months I will be bigger than DT and my social media influence IS already stronger. You made bad decisions because some drunk old lady told you to. That was bad career management on your part. You have tried everything possible to stop me and yet I am still growing rapidly. Might be time to go back to the hole you crawled out of and focus on your riding. Stop worrying about my reputation and start worrying about yours.[/B]

Who was she directing this to? Sounds very specific. And I hope somebody grabbed a screen shot of this gem so it can come back to bite her later. As someone who actually does work in social media professionally all I can say is that she clearly has no clue.
