I am looking for recommendations for a realtor or realty company in the Tryon, NC/ Landrum, SC area that specializes in equine farms/properties. Anyone have personal referrals to someone specific? Would love some feedback from firsthand experience, if anyone here has someone they love?
(OR, someone they have used and it was a disaster-please warn me).

Linda Tinkler is awesome. She used to be the best braider ever many years ago 
and is now doing real estate with a particular interest in horse properties in that area.

I recommend Libbie Johnson. She’s been a promoter of “Tryon Horse Country” for a decade, before it was well known, and has really helped put it on the map. She also publishes “This Week In Tryon Horse Country,” an e-newsletter (free) that comes out every Monday morning with news of what’s going on in the Tryon-area horse world. You can subscribe to that free by going to www.tryonhorsecountry.org. (NOTE: the newsletter is not an ad vehicle for her business, just an informational newsletter, but good info no matter what direction you take.) She also does Horse Country Tours, showing people all the historic horsey areas of Tryon.

Bonnie Lingerfelt with ReMax in Tryon fox hunts and knows horse properties. She tends to specialize in higher end properties. Whoever you use, be prepared for properties that are priced well above what they were worth a few years ago, property has appreciated rapidly since TIEC opened.
Most realtors in this area are very knowledgeable about the particulars of horse properties, and are owners/riders themselves. Laura May (ReMax) is a hard worker whether you have a little or a lot to spend. Though I just used a lawyer, Laura was the listing agent on the 8 acres and cottage we purchased 6 years ago and we’ve remained friends.
