Having no luck finding someone to install Centaur white lightening…recommendations?
Have you checked the factory website, www.centaurhtp.com, and looked for an installer on their site? If no luck, you
might call the factory and ask for recommendations.
Next best thing is someone who does farm fencing and has done barbed or high tensile wire as the bracing of the posts is very similar. You might print out the instructions from the company site when you talk to possible installers to make sure they understand what you need.
I just emailed the nearest installer listed on Centaurs website, although they’re located in IL. Hopfully they’ll be willing to travel a bit…thanks, Basque
A couple of ideas – anyone who installs high-tensile fence ought to be able to do the Centaur product. There is a very easy-to-follow installation manual for reference. Check at the farm stores, other fencing suppliers (even Ramm may know someone to do the install). It is not all that different. My guy said no because he was used to stringing wire fences, but with a little prodding I was able to convince him and he did a fine job.
Second – if you can get the posts installed, you can probably string and tension the wire yourself. I have done this and I am 60 years and not particularly handy.
I think the key is to ask for someone to install high-tensile wire fence. If you mention Centaur White Lightning, you may scare off a lot of good old boys who can string wire fence in their sleep.
Good idea, King’s! I’ll call around to the farm stores and see if they can recommend someone. Meanwhile, the installer in IL is willing to travel, so he said he’s be by this week to give me a quote! I’d like to get more than one though…
