Recommendations for Shipping a Horse Trailer from Out of State?

I have been looking for a for a 2+1 Horse Trailer for a while now and I have only found a few used ones outside of CO.
So I’m looking into what it would cost to have someone ship it for me and if there are any recommended companies that will do this? Unfortunately, most of the ones I have found are on the East Coast. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When I did that, I just used uShip. It was a fine experience, no complaints.

Are they being sold by a dealer or private sellers? I bought a trailer in TX from a dealer and paid them to have someone drive it out to me.

I just purchased a trailer from a manufacturer based in North Carolina. They charged me a flat fee ($395) for shipping and delivered it right to my door. I looked at many other dealer’s websites. Most had an option for cross-country delivery, with the fee based off mileage.

I can buy new here but was hoping purchase something used. But I will definitely look into purchasing straight from the manufacturer.

I found quite a few dealers who would ship on pre-owned trailers purchased from them. If the dealer wants to sell you a trailer badly enough, I would expect he or she to arrange shipping for you. The most common dealer shipping charge I found was around $1.30/mile.

check to see if any horse trailer dealers have any shipments coming that way, often if they don’t have a full load of 3 trailers, they are willing to stop along the way to pick up another trailer to split the shipping cost. My trailer hitched a ride with a local trailer dealer who was trying to get 2 new trailers delivered to his store. Mine was along the way, so the transporter just picked up mine along the way and we split the shipping costs 3 ways.

I also used Uship.com. It worked out fine, but wasn’t cheap.
