Recommendations for zipper install for precious boots

My fabulous set of Koenig stovepipes have become impossible to remove without the assistance of multiple people and serious consideration of calling the fire department.

I’d like to get zippers and an elastic gusset put in them, but only want to send them to a place that specializes in doing equestrian boots and will take good care of my babies. If anything bad happened to them I would be devastated.

Does anyone have recommendations for where to send them? I’m in Buffalo in case there is any where local, but I am happy to ship them to someplace GOOD.

Toronto is also a possibility once the border reopens.

Suggestions?

Contact Vogel.
Not sure they alter boots not made by them.
But they did both changes (at different times) - the gusset, then back zips - for me a good 5yrs & then even later, after I got the boots.

If you can get to Nick’s Custom Boots in Toronto, they have a lot of experience w Equestrian boots. Their website isn’t a great reference for their work, but they do boots for all Toronto police motorcycle and mounted units.
If you can show pictures of what you want, they’ll be able to replicate.

Thank you all for the tips!

It’s such a relief to have some COTH-vetted options for my babies!
