Recommendations Mail-in Clipper Blade Sharpening?

Can anyone recommend a good place to mail in the clipper blades for sharpening?

I don’t even know if the blades are sharpen-able at this point -or whats worth it and whats not.

I use the oster A5 clippers on a wooly horse, so the blades my be trashed at this point.

Also, can I buy the cheaper non-oster A5 blades that are exactly the same, but half the price?

thanks!

Ivory’s in Hesperia, CA. Have used them for years and am very satisfied. They also repair and recondition clippers.

Not affiliated in any way; just a happy customer.

I use Northern Tails.

Glad I saw this post. Need to send my blades for sharpening to get ready for clipping in a few weeks.

I’ve always had great service and repairs from http://www.sheepman.com/

I’ve used them on recommendation from COTH and was very pleased. He called me to discuss issues. Was very helpful and honest. I would recommend him.

I also use premier 1. Great service.

What about the third-party blades that cost half of the manufacture’s blades? I’ve seen them on amazon.

I use Schneider and Sons, they’re local to me but also do mail order…

Probably depends on the brand. I groom dogs for a living and really the Oster, Andis and Wahl (and whatever other ‘name brand’ blades are worth the additional cost. They generally are made from better steel and hold an edge longer.

Ditto this company. Fast turn around and their own brand of blades are wonderful for clipping.
