Recommendations of Vet for PPE in Minnesota

Looking at a horse (obviously) in Webster, MN. Can anyone recommend a vet for PPE? TIA

Do you know which Vet clinic that the seller uses? That will help. You have the University of Minnesota, Anoka, and Cleary Lake Vet Hospital of the top of my head. I have not used any of these vets for a PPE but I have used Dr. Kevin Vollar at Anoka for my horses yearly joint injections and I know people like him for lameness issues. My old instructor loved Dr. Nicolas Ernst at the U. I would trust her judgment 100% I did not use him because I got the impression you had to trailer your horse to the clinic for him so I used Dr. Sara Wefel from west metro and was happy with her. I have never used her but Dr. Selvig (Cleary Lake) does a lot at the racetrack. I know her though clinic series and showing.

Edited to add, Anoka is north of the cities. University is in the middle and west, and Cleary Lake is South. They all should travel.

Yes, if you could use Dr Ernst he is the best! You can do everything in one day at the U, or drop off the night before. They are very accommodating and have excellent digital X-rays. The cost is on par with local clinics (or less).

Call West Metro Equine (the mobile part of the U)- the UMN docs travel to farms, Dr. Ernst does to some degree, at least did last I checked.
