Anyone catch Red Run’s impressive victory at Churchill over the weekend? First winner for Gun Runner and the similarities are pretty uncanny. He is a Gun Runner out of a Tapit mare who is unraced but a full sister to champion Untapable and maternal sister to Paddy O Prado. Third dam is the prized mare Fun House who was 2014 Broodmare of the Year. He looks to be a beautiful, well made, stout colt. He’s also owned and trained by the same connections as his sire. He is also a 5th generation homebred for Winchell (pretty neat!)/ Looking forward to watching his future and the futures of more Gun Runners’ as they start to hit the track

Yes, that is a nice win but what are the “uncanny similarities”? I don’t understand what you mean by that. The horse is what is known as a “homebred”, thus having the same connections that the Bloodhorse article you are quoting makes as their point.
I think your “stout” is my “too heavy for a 2Y/O” but we all have different eyes.
Having longstanding dam lines is “pretty neat” for sure, but not really unusual. 
Gun Runner has some handsome get. I agree, it will be fun to see how they run.
