Any Albertans??
I am seeking the following:
2002 Thoroughbred chestnut gelding LALA BOOM (aka ‘Phoenix’ or ‘Boomer’)
Elusive Quality (93 model) x Mt. Livermore (81 model)
Breeder: Alfonso J. Mazzetti (KY)
Raced in Phoenix, Arizona, prior to being brought over to Alberta, Canada spring 2008. Promptly bowed but recovered (had obviously previously bowed, in AZ). Last raced in Lethbridge, Alberta, October 18 2009. Owners at time of last start were: Stan Marks et al. Trainer was: Stan Marks. Jockey: Nate Smith.
This gelding is a heavy-set RED chestnut (brilliant red), with a star on his forehead (can provide photo). He looked like your classic QH but was Thoroughbred - huge powerhouse and ran like one. Came up from AZ to the Calgary track (08) quite sour to people and a bit defensive-aggressive in his stall. Was a real sweetheart overall though. I worked with this gelding on the track but lost tabs on him and would love to buy him when he retires (if he has not already). Garry Marks’ (Stan’s son) number has changed and I do not have Stan Marks’ number. PLEASE, if anyone knows anything of this gelding, please give me a shout. I would really love to take him home when he is ready and am desperate to find him. Last thing I want is for him to meet the auction. Soundness or injuries not an issue, I will buy him regardless of whatever state he is in.
Thanks in advance for any tips!
