For those who’ve used Redmond Daily Gold for ulcer prevention, was it at all difficult to get fussy horses to eat it? After a round of Nexium this spring, I put my horse on Uckele GUT supplement powder. She’s kind of picky, compared to my “I’ll eat anything” air fern gelding. She gets a handful of grain and 1 lb alfalfa pellets, vit/flax/MSM at feeding time, so there’s not a lot of camouflage to hide her supps.
I’m thinking of switching to Redmond after reading a lot of glowing reviews. Though my horse hasn’t presented strong ulcer symptoms since the spring, I’m getting a few hints that they could be brewing and trying to head them off at the pass. I figured it can’t hurt to try something different. UGard is also on my radar…
Thanks in advance for any feedback!
