While I’m sure it can be hard to sell the horse that made such a huge difference in your life, Cylana hasn’t been pulling the the same results as she used to, particularly in the past 6 months so I’m wondering if Reed was looking for her to step out of the 1.60s anyway.
Does anyone know the typical price tag for a horse of this caliber? Every so often you hear about a horse going for a very high dollar amount, but I have no idea what to compare it to. Are all of the horses that are competitive at that height in the same bracket?
The price is higher than it should be thanks to Qatar and Saudi Arabia! They’ve gone around the past few years buying the best show jumpers for crazy amounts around $10 million. Oh and the Russian dude too, who is now in big trouble: Onyshenko? I’d be curious to know what the real average is for a going 1.60 horse.
