Reformulated Antares conditioner

Anyone else have experience with it. They made the change quite a few months ago and I ment to ask about it but kept forgetting.

I’ve been in love with this conditioner for years. I would use it after every ride because I just loved what it did to the leather. Gave it a non sticky but grippy texture to it and the leather always felt great!

I went to stock up at smartpak a few months ago and noticed the packaging was different. It no longer comes with a sponge, the scent is different and it’s definitely slightly different formula wise and doesn’t give the same finish to the leather which is why I loved it so so much. I still like it but it’s not my ol’ faithful. I’m quite sad about it.

I thought it was a great product so not sure why they changed it. Some didn’t like the smell and the sponge got gunky but … “sigh”

Anyone else? Or know anyone who still has the old one?

you may want to check directly with Antares or your local rep. They might have some older tubs floating around?

Maybe try the effax lederbalsam? Some people hate the smell, but I love it and I like that it makes the leather grippy, but isn’t tacky or gunky like the passier.

i never noticed that it smells strange, I love Effax products, including the leader balsam. OP you should try Libby’s Higher Standards Balm, it’s amazing! There is a big thread about her products on the eventing forum.

Ok thanks guys! Ill probably look around for the old tubs…should have thought of that a few months ago.

I’m 90% sure I’ve tried Effax and didn’t get the results others get. I may try it again but I’ll try Libby’s first
