Keeping Him Mine
He’s Keeping Me
I really like these two.

Dixie’s Keep Billing Me?

Them you can call him both Bill and Keeper!

Just a minor “warning” about picking a registered name - if you plan to show AKC, remember that you’ll be writing (or typing) that complete name (with titles) on every single entry form that you send in, and then you’ll need to correct any misspellings that the trial secretaries make.
Ya, my Pap’s is kinda long at four words, then all of his title letters that I can’t keep straight between multiple venues. Since AKC uses the same entry form, I keep a form saved with all that info typed up and just plug in the specific classes.

I haven’t filled out an entry form by hand in years! I either enter online using the Infodog website, or use this site:
http://www.oaklines.com/ExpressEntries/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2Fexpressentries
which saves info on all your dogs so it fills in everything but the show, date, and class, and then mail it in with a check.

Speaking of names misprinted in catalogs, though, years ago I co-owned a wolfhound named “Seven Hawks Dink Stover” (from the “Stover At Yale” books- I didn’t name him!)

His name was printed as “Oink” rather than “Dink”. For years, people teased us about “Oink”!

please tell us OP, what name you have decided on for your handsome guy!

I still do all my entries by hand, with a check - but the vast majority of things I’m entering are agility trials - some use LabTested, but most of the secretaries I show under are still paper based. (I don’t have internet access at home, so it’s easier for me to do it that way anyhow.)

Plus, I gotta admit, when it comes to obedience or rally stuff, I really don’t like paying an extra fee to use Infodog - I’m already spending ~$60 a day in entries to put RAE legs on a dog, and that extra $4.25(! - it’s gone up since the last time I looked at it!) per class adds up when you’re doing a multi-day cluster.

I love the “Oink” story, though, Houndhill - and I think “Oink” is actually a pretty cute name (especially on a Wolfhound)!
