Registering a horse trailer in Maine

anyone have any insight on this and how to go about it?

My contractor (NY) has all of his equipment trailers registered in Maine. According to him it’s easy to register. Just go to Maine DMV online and follow instructions. I’m planning to it with my horse trailer - just haven’t gotten around to it.

We used Staab Agency for our 24ft enclosed race car trailer - we did the 5 year tag, it was easy and inexpensive.

I also had good luck with www.MaineTrailerRegistrations.com . I used it to ‘renew’ after my tag in my home state expired. The best part is Maine allows for long-term registrations so I got a 5 year tag under $100 bucks

Not sure about Stab but the folks at Maine Trailer Registrations were great, highly recommended
