Registry & Brand ID/Question

Hi all; I’m trying to find out a little more about the history of my mare as it relates to the registry that she is (potentially) branded with. I was given her about 2 years ago, and now thinking of breeding her, however I’m running into obstacles when asked for her registration papers as I don’t have any thing on her except her brand, of which I didn’t even know existed until this spring.

Both BO/BM & I think it might be RPSI [now Westfalen] but without shaving it down to the skin and seeing the whole thing, I can’t quite tell. I sent them an email with photos & her description/stats that I know of, and am hoping they will be able to find something.

How old is she? Have you checked for a microchip? Was she definitely bred in the US? RPSI would be my best guess as well though. Have you tried spraying it or rubbing it down with some alcohol? Sometimes that helps make it stand out better.

She was not microchipped when I got her, so I had her chipped about a year and a half ago.

As far as I know, yes, she was a US Bred, but my background information on her is very thin. She’s around 15, which would mean she’s probably in RPSI vs. Westfalen, if that is the case.
