Nona garson was a good fit but want wool-flocked this time around. Got a ken taur but balance not right. The shape of the seat on my NG puts me significantly in front of where i sit in the KT. I always feel like i am behind the motion. I’m 5’2”, 105 lbs, oldenburg mare but confirmation is light, a little like a TB. Suggestions as to where to start?
I have a Nona and a County Sensation, which has a similar enough balance point to me. The County is a lot more saddle, but is wool flocked and has very soft, grippy leather.
I legit thought you were referring to the person, not the saddle. LOL. I was like…Oh My! Well that’s a very blunt way to look for a new trainer! Glad we’re just talking about a saddle.
Also, I am about your height and a few lbs more than you (like 20!), and I felt like that when I went from a Butet to a CWD. The Butet wasn’t a flat seat, but significantly less deeper than the CWD Classic, plus I think the knee blocks put my leg in a newer position. which feels much more secure, but is still different than the flatter knee rolls with no blocks on the Butet. Using a seat riser on the CWD made me feel more balanced and less like I was behind the motion or driving more with my seat and unable to get out of the tack.
I thought the same thing.

Could you get a NG and have it re-flocked with wool? Sorry if that is a silly question. I honestly don’t know.
Have a NG and it is the only saddle ever to fit me. I needed a slightly different size for my current horse, and after a long time looking, one came up on ebay. So grateful to that seller!
Count me as someone who totally thought the same Glad to hear the OP is just replacing a saddle.
