Can anyone recommend a place I could send a girth to to have the triple elastic replaced? The leather on the girth is rock solid but the elastic is completely shot. TIA!
if you have a local tack shop they can usually do it themselves or send it out. If Beval is still in business they do great leather work and repairs. Beval.com. If you live near a race track there is often someone in the area or at the track that can do this too. Lots of other tack shops with online services often do offer leather work and repairs. The bigger tack shops with online services are another option to check.
You might check with Tenney’s Saddlery in Florida and see if this is something they could do, they do repairs and leather work.
Bartville Harness in PA has replaced elastic for me before. I am sure they would do it inexpensively. You can google their number - they are Amish so I believe only pick up the phone at certain times but they do good work.
Tack Shack in Ocala, FL. I’m about to send two to them for the very same repair. They do great work.
