Can anyone recommend a safe, reputable place in Eastern PA?
A group of my college students want to go, but I really want to find them a SAFE place that requires helmets and has nice mounts for dead beginners, kids that have never seen a horse.

Eastern PA is pretty large… north, central, or south part of Eastern PA?
I don’t know exactly where you mean by Eastern PA. But, Gateway Stables in Kennett Square, PA is reputable for trail rides. ( Southeastern PA) You should check out their website to see if it’s what you’re looking for.
Anything from Poconos and Philly. Or Gettysburg, because that would be cool.
I don’t know about PA but Fair Hill stables in Fair Hill MD is good and the trails are awesome.
There is a place in Gettysburg that does riding tours of the battlefields. A very cool experience!

They also have a campground where you can tent, have a camper trailer, or rent cute little cabins. My 4-H friends and our mothers (who dubbed themselves “Mom’s Turn Riding Club” since we have all aged out of 4-H and it’s the mom’s turn to have fun now that us “kids” are more self-sufficient ) used to go down there with our own horses with the PA Quarter Horse Association sponsored ride. It was a blast!
Agree with Fair Hill for sure, and that would probably be my first choice. I’ve done the Gettysburg ride as well (Artillery Ridge). Both are fine, I think Fair Hill is more interesting and varied terrain unless you are really into the history aspect of Gettysburg. It also tends to have smaller groups.
