Resistance bands

Does anyone here use them for their horse? What kind do you prefer, and how often do you use them? What improvements, if any, have you seen as a result?

Thanks!

My opinion is that if you ride correctly, they are unnecessary. Having said that, they can be useful in certain rehab situations.

What do you mean by resistance bands? I’ve used them in saddlebred land and when rehabbing a shoulder injury in a horse. They do work to increase range of motion in the shoulder.

Yes.

I’ve been directed to use the equicore bands by my vet/body worker when rehabbing. Very helpful. I still bring them out, typically at the start of the season, to help with developing correct muscle and fitness.
