*RESOLVED* "stolen filly.....i need help!"

Flame suit on:

The OTHER pattern is that:
A. Folks seem to keep sending her mares.
B. Folks keep breeding to her stallions. Redwine? Very marginally talented as a jumper and moves as he was bred to move…a dressage horse. And yes, I saw him show, and yes, with a SUPERB mare who can jump, could BE some nice capable hunters but
C. There are many hard working honest breeders in the NA with (IMHO) far better stallions who need your business ! If HB has come down to just about lousy prospects who happen to be black with high white socks, then breeding here is in trouble! And you might need to pay more for real talent!
D. Why support a crook?

To the OP …glad it got resolved![/QUOTE]

AMEN to this !!! Agree with you 110%.

I don’t think a flame suit is necessary. Many people agree with you, myself included.

There is quite a disconnect between what wins in hunter breeding and what wins in the ring (outside of the conformation division).

That said, it will be interesting to see what happens when all these horses are jumping under saddle and showing. By all appearances, he seems to improve on himself as far as movement goes, and they are all very pretty to look at.

Haven’t seen enough to speak to the jump, except that they seem to be good with their front end. For many people, that seems to be good enough.

This is great news…

congratulations to the OP ! I wish the filly would have been returned to you,
but as long as you’re happy with the outcome, that’s what counts.

Yea !

HOW EXCITING!!! SO GLAD IT IS OVER FOR YOU…

SH

I know that Redwines Sire Rotspon certainly scored well enough in jumping and there have been other Stallions of that cross RubinStein X Argentan that have jumped fairly well. Ruiz Solar comes to mind. Now to me that simply means breed to Rotspon not his son but maybe a few will jump alright.

Actually,
Ruiz Soler is Rubinstein/ Argentinus / Leibniz
Rotspon is Rubinstein / Argentan / Pik Bube

Glad to read things have been satisfactorily worked out for the OP.
Sad what things had to escalate to for her to get a resolution, but I cant say I find it surprising, given the track record of her ‘buyer’.

Good job.

[B]Hi Everyone on COTH,

I really would like to use this opportunity to say THANK YOU!!! Without each and every one of your efforts here on this board, the private messages, the emails, the phone calls, and the extensiveness of this information going viral on Facebook, I never would have been able to resolve this situation!

I would like to let you all know that FINALLY this situation has been resolved. While Jill Burnell still refused to speak to me during this whole ordeal, a third party that was close to Jill was able to help work this out. Jill now owns the filly legally. I wish her the best of luck as she is a SPECTACULAR filly! I hope someone buys her and gives her the show home she deserves! I can speak from experience, owning both her mother and her full sister, you will not be disappointed with the filly!

I hope you all know how much I really do appreciate all of your efforts! I can’t even begin to thank you all for the amount of support I received!

The good news here is that at least we know how to help others in the future with any issues the may or may not arise with Gray Fox Farms in the future.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to post here, email me at (austin.aibel@gmail.com) or PM me here on COTH. If anyone needs my help in the future, please feel free to contact me. I understand the situation and am willing to help in any way possible! Hopefully as a result of all this information going public, future incidents with GFF and JB can be prevented.

With my most sincere thanks,
Austin A.

I am so glad to read the situation is resolved. Unlike comments by other posters I do not assume you were PAID $$$. I hope you actually were paid $$ rather than perhaps being asked to agree to trade the yearling for past due trumped up unpaid board expenses or trumped up undocumented Vet bills or something similar on the mare in foal. I also sure hope you got a breeding certificate out of the deal on the foal.

Best wishes.

I am so glad that everything worked out for you.

I hope that no one else will have to go through the trouble that you have had with this person.

I also hope that, your trouble, has shown people in the H/J world that they should beware of this unscrupulous breeder.
Not that you are the first victim… Really, how many people will be defrauded before this craziness is put to a stop?

If no one speaks up about the bad apples, then more people will fall victim to them.

OP Congrats on a happy outcome. I’m so thrilled for you!

3Dogs, no flame suit necessary! I think you hit it on the mark.

3dogs there are some very prominent people who choose to breed to GFF stallions. You are now calling all of them stupid. You join the ranks of the morons who say geld the stallions.

Ha ha ha! Who ever you are John Parker ha ha ha!

“some very prominent people” is rich!

I think those “prominent” people never ever have actually SEEN the stallions in person and given the sad history of how HB is judged? But I give credit for a most marvelous marketing machine! I have never implied that with a SUPERB mare you might not get a decent foal. Some here have them!
But heck, with so many really talented stallions available?

And then there is the crook part.

Ha ha ha. Keep trying -

I keep thinking you might be an alter of the original threesome …but who REALLY cares?

Hang in there Roy!

Morons of the horseworld unite!

reading the OPs last post, i am not so sure she got anything other than a letter from an attorney telling her to do x y an z or be sued…

while i hope that isn’t the case, i think folks are being a bit naive to think that it is all rose and sunshine…

Umm… Roy, it seems that you are the only one on this thread who keeps bringing up ‘geld the GFF stallions’.

So who is the MORON?

After this mess, how long do you think that will last ?

Since you’re a fan of Redwine, I’m sure you’ll agree with me that it would be best for his breeding career if he was sold to someone else.

Sued for what ?

i have no idea? but given the apparently litigious nature of a certain breeder, and the quoted note posted here, i can’t imagine that money changed hands easily… and the OP did not mention anything about money…

just color me suspicious

Seriously, right? Unless it was cash put in my hot little hand, I would’nt be counting my chickens before they hatch…or something like that.

The OP sounded very satisfied with the outcome, so I don’t see why that shouldn’t be good enough for those of us who had no stake in the matter.
