responding to classifieds

I sent a PM to someone who listed a saddle in the classifieds. I haven’t heard back from her, and she hasn’t been back to the forum since she posted the classified. She didn’t include her e-mail address in her profile. Can the mods e-mail her to tell her to check her PMs?

Why aren’t posters allowed to reply directly within classified threads, anyway? Seems like that would be a much more visible way to go than relying on PMs. (I rarely think to look in the right-hand corner of the screen to see if I have any …)

I’m assuming the OP has her email set to “private?”

Send me a PM with a link to the ad & I can try to give her a heads up. We only allow moderated follow up posts by the OPs of classifieds because there had been problems with other posters using the threads to advertise their own items for sale.

We’re working on some new ideas for the classifieds, so please stay tuned!
