Does anyone here have experience with a hemorrhaged retina in their horse? My mom’s mare never seems to go a summer without a problem, and is currently suffering from Bell’s Palsy, probably from a flare up of Lyme Disease, which she was diagnosed with and treated for, two years ago. She has had periodic lameness since, although she had previous dealt with laminitis.
Her recent Lyme test gave a count of 850, just below where they would normally consider treating. However, due to her history, we are treating her and hoping that it will help with the Bell’s Palsy.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has dealt with any, or all, of these issues, and if so, if you might have any suggestions or insight? Thank you!
