Retired racehorse Suave Jazz at Farmington Hunt - any update?

Suave Jazz was in the Retired Racehorse Training Project in 2013. He was bought by the Farmington Hunt in Virginia.
Anyway, Jazz was by far my favorite in the project group. I was wondering if anyone has any updates on him now that his hunt has been in the field?

I was wondering about him too. He was such a businesslike, sensible horse.

I have also been wondering about him. I just emailed the Hunt to see if I could find out anything. I’ll be excited to hear about him.

And, I just received a very nice answer, and a picture! Here’s what the MFH has to say about him.

“We got him last April. He spent the first month turned out on our lush grass fields and has put on nice weight. I started to ride him in May, but broke my arm ( on a different horse) so he got more “chill time”. He is now hunting and doing some occasional lessons. Coming along nicely. I really like riding him!”

And, here is his picture. I think he looks great!

I’m so happy that Jazz has ended up in a good place, where he is appreciated.

And, another picture, from yesterday.

He looks wonderful. Looks like he is loving his second career. Thanks for posting the photos.

I’m sorry I hadn’t seen this post sooner, as I hunt regularly with Farmington, though I don’t know all the staff horses by name. I believe this horse was out going well today, as well. OK by today I mean yesterday, New Year’s Day.
