RFK Jr's Future Political Life

This probably deserves it’s own attention. The Trump future appointment is no small issue.

A comment: Selling appointments for support is ILLEGAL! If y’all cared about the country y’all would toss these fritters out. Fixing our food issues shouldn’t cost us our democracy. Something I really shouldn’t have to point out, but that’s the world we live in.

Lots of people believe that his approach is correct. No vaccinations. Lots of woo-woo remedies.
It’s almost like they want to live without science. Without antibiotics. Because experts have been wrong and so their opinions are just as good.

You do know that prime ambassadorships tend to go to big donors.

I think RFK jr. has had his 15 minutes.

I can’t watch video at the moment, but this dude’s political life is a problem without a solution for most of America, to my mind.

And, I doubt any persuadable voters will decide either to vote against Trump or not vote at all just because of this possibility. So it’s just one more in a litany of reasons why I am counting the days until we know the election outcome. (I’m feeling cranky this morning.)

The sky is falling…If an activity is illegal, then bring suit when the activity happens.

Agreed…

What a nutjob!!! He alone is reason enough to fear a Trump victory. Maybe Trump can appoint the voodoo doctor as Surgeon General. He thought she was a genius with her Covid treatments. We will all run to Canada to get health care. If we can afford to.

Not if Trump wins.

Not that Trump is exactly known for keeping his promises. But still.

forever about 30 to 40 percent of ambassadorships are to political appointees — often deep-pocketed contributors campaign giving enormous sums to a president, his party and its candidates.

I’ve been alarmed about this for a couple of days. Trump is so incredibly transactional. He believed he needed RFK Jr to get out of the race and endorse him. That came at a price. Apparently that price was heading up HHS and therefore all the associated agencies, including the CDC.

I think it was yesterday that Trump said he’s going to let RFK Jr “go wild” for a time before he has to “reign him in.” So that should be fun for all of us.

The only thing (potentially) saving us is RFK Jr would have to pass a Senate confirmation hearing. And I do not foresee him getting the necessary votes with his laughable “credentials.”

Ditto for whatever role Trump has in mind for Musk.

Musk, the financial wizard who has managed to cut the value of Twitter in half since he purchased it relatively recently.

Yes if Elon wants to be the “Efficiency Czar” let’s start with cancelling all his contracts with the government. Then we can dump Jeff Bezos’s too. That should save trillions.

It makes sense that the only person who could think of Musk as a financial genius would be someone like Trump, who has such a long and extensive history of his own business failures and bankruptcies.

They have both tried to market themselves as successful business people when their only real accomplishment was to inherit money in the first place. Although it sounds like Musk inherited a lot more than Trump.

I am aware that plum ambassadorships are given to preferred people…see Joe Kennedy’s position to England pre-WWII

I think Bezos should run the US Postal Service…I just returned an Amazon order. Could not have gone smoother and I had a credit in a few hours.

Compared to USPS…

  • I periodically need to file info about my septic inspection to local govt entity. I send in paperwork USPS Certified. I get dinged for not sending paperwork. I walk paperwork to govt office. Paperwork never arrives.
  • Mother tries to pay electric bill by check. Envelop is returned as undeliverable. I take envelopt to local PO. Talk to person at the counter. He says, “Should not have happened.”…and then adds that they lost someone’s taxes.
  • My sister sees a “wierd check” in her electronic banking and sees a check has been washed. She goes to USPS office where check was mailed in the INSIDE mail slot. Person at the counter chastises her and says she should pay her bills on line.
    I could go on…

hey now don’t knock my Purity, Pure, or whatever it is called…I cannot stay in a hotel without it. Really combats Hotel Head! Place it on a tissue and in the heater. I have to admit I have a diffuser for it as well. But that is all I use it for- hotel stays.

It is amazing how many people think they are so safe and curative though. Same with flower essences. When they suddenly became something people ingested I was like UMMMMMM.

I have treated my fair share of toxicity from EO’s in cats and dogs.

Yes, but that only refects their return policy – as soon as you drop that package off, a notification is sent to Amazon and they issue the refund. The actual return gets there when UPS delivers it.

I rarely use the mail anymore, mostly just to mail my absentee ballots for elections but I have no problem with mail delivery.

I hope everyone in the incidents you listed reported them to the Postal Inspector.

USPS, right?

They all deliver for each other these days.

USPS typically delivers some packages for Amazon for the “last mile”. UPS drops them off at the post office.

I don’t think dropping off at USPS is an option for paid returns for Amazon.
