Oh well, dressage day is the day to sort out the livestream, right?
I heard there was a hold on dressage, is back running?
I show 2 screens & both say day rain delay with estimated start time of 9 am. Nothing “live”.
Livestreams that were closed are automatically archived as regular videos on YouTube. There are two from this morning. They said on FB they are working on it and will share when it’s back up.
There was a rain delay, now livestream is down. Unrelated issues.
I subscribed! Thank you!
Any news on live streaming Saturday? One of the comments implied they were trying to use a WiFi network at the venue so unless they got that sorted this may be one of those learning experiences and maybe try again next year.
They were supposed to start at 9 but they lost power and are looking for a generator
The lost power & looking for a generator post was posted 22 hours ago so Thursday night into Friday, not last night. I also understand that generator or not, the Wi-Fi at the park is not fast enough to livestream. I’ve got it up & hopeful but it sounds like it won’t happen. Hoping!!!
Would love to see an update from either Red Hills or Visit Tally. At least say if they’re going to have it up or not.
Well they are trying but no power.
Event Entries has scores for Prelim so far.
Hi guys!!
The heavy storm took out the power to that area of Tallahassee this morning. We moved the livestreaming server off site last night for a wired connection, and then the power went out.
Cannot tell you how frustrated we are! We are working to get some sort of power to them. I will come and post back here when it is up!
Apparently we’ve got power now, but the tree that came down also took out the cable, so I’ve been told we are close, but not quite up yet!
thanks for the update!
They have a Facebook Live stream right now so at least you can hear the announcer and some commentary even if the video is shaky and vertical.
Dorothy Crowell is the commentator this weekend and she shared this:
Red Hills Live Stream vs Tech Failure and Mother Nature
Yesterday the remote live feed connection provided to RNS at RHHT was reliant on a fancy box called a mushroom. Unfortunately it wouldn’t last longer than a few minutes. Every time it dropped connection the whole system had to be rebooted which took longer to do than the time it gave to us working. It was tested on Thursday but…(further explanations above my pay grade)
The amazing organizational crew at Red Hills moved us to a building about a mile from the show grounds with a hard line for consistent connection. They and the RNS crew worked late to set it up and test the system so it would be ready to go at 8am.
Then overnight Mother Nature stepped in with a major storm dropping tress and knocking out power to 50% of Tallahassee including the cute little office that was our alternate sight. RNS arrived at 5am to no power and the Red Hills crew scrambled to get us a generator capable of powering the equipment. It is here, running, and people who know much more than me about electrical systems are trying to use it to get everything working.
The 2* is running now it will be up and running for the 4*!
The good news is the sun is out, the wind is drying the ground and though it might not be the best day for under dressed spectators, it’s a great day to run and jump!
Thanks so much for the explanation & update! Fingers crossed that it’s ready for the 4*!
Our communications co-chair is live on the RHHT FB with a FB live of the upper water. They should have the livestream up and running at the start of the 11:45 for the 4*. There are some archived videos on the FB page if you’d like to see how the upper water is running!
we are on a break until 11:45 now, but you can see some video there!
Can someone share the exact link? I can’t tell if I can’t find it because I’m in Canada but the links don’t work for me
