What a specific screen name to take such a strong pro-“keeping sexual abuse cases against minors quiet” stance. Certainly draws to mind one specific Rhode Islander who one assumes has an anti USEF intervention stance, but maybe I am off base and you only want to keep crimes against human children quiet and are in favor of outing people who abuse horses.

Why shouldn’t it be reported now? If he supposedly did it to one why would you think it couldn’t happen many more times? As a parent I would want to know my child is safe.

It was continued to sometime this year. Can’t remember when but you can check the Washington County District Court calendar and find out.

I’m glad Fellers are being prosecuted, and this case is finally reaching an end so the victim can move on, heal, and RF can get his due punishment. (But the NW Horse Report is a quasi-journalistic source, at best).

I’m very glad he’s actually being prosecuted criminally and hopefully will serve time in prison, rather than just SafeSport sanctions. Maybe that will help to shut up those who want to blame children for the terrible decisions of, and resulting career damage to, grown men who just can’t seem stick to consenting adults.

I’m guessing it’s either/and/or because she is now an adult, or because she has been open about this herself, that the victim’s name is being published.
I hope she is getting plenty of support from the more enlightened members of her horse community.
This has to have been very hard for her. It is a shame that women who report sexual abuse are so frequently treated badly by erstwhile friends and the public.

I believe her name has been out for a while. I don’t know whether or not that happened while she was still a minor.
I believe her mom has posted on these threads in the past, and it sounded like they made a conscious choice to tell her story to draw attention to this problem with minors in sport.

It shows that rich has a date set to change his FBI/Oregon plead from “not guilty” to “guilty”. I guess there wont be a trial then once he pleads.
