Oh. Your reply to @ghst13 sounded as if you know that people continue to lesson with Morris even after the advertised clinic got the organizer in trouble. That happened several years ago.

Someone told me this year that they got in trouble for having a relative take a lesson with him. It sounded to me like he was still doing lessons. That was my takeaway. I could be wrong

Thanks @mroades. I’m glad there are consequences for trying to end run around a Safe Sport ban.

I am glad the justice system is working in this case, as it should…

However, the ā€˜reporter’ of this ā€œnews sourceā€ is not a qualified journalist and much of the article here and others he publishes are salacious hit pieces that skirt the edge of defamation and libel. He’s had cease and desist letters sent for other ā€œstoriesā€ he’s published and been accused of stalking (with police reports). This ā€œreporterā€ is well known in the local horse community. Take much of it with a very large grain of salt.

People probably pay a third-party, who then makes cash payout or money transfer to GM. That keeps the money trail from being obvious. Barring that, they might pay him directly with cash, to avoid a money trail. We know he’s been occasionally seen outside of the Wellington/Palm Beach Miami area since his sanctioning, in horse hotspots and engaging in horse-related activities, such as that show he was spotted at and the clinic that attracted a lot of attention.

What difference does it make re the reporter? The DAs office charged him. I don’t think that should be taken with a grain of salt.

And…I absolutely agree and said that, didn’t I? Thus the use of ā€œhoweverā€ in my post.

But the rest of his ā€˜report’ is a salacious hit piece full of allegations and outright BS… as are most of his ā€œbreaking news stories!ā€

What exactly was a ā€œhit pieceā€ and ā€œoutright BS?ā€ Sounds like you are firmly in his (or his former employer’s) camp.

I’m in the ā€˜camp’ of truth. Period. I loathe liars and hypocrites. Clearly, the man committed a crime and the justice system is handling it. What needs to NOT happen is lying and casting aspersions at others. Am I familiar with all the parties here? I am. Am I also familiar with the raging hypocrisy of the OHJA and the H/J community in the PNW? Sure am! BITSA --We’ve had this conversation already, so I am done here, as I do not want to give this any more attention than it deserves.

I still don’t see where the lies are and none have been cited.

BITSA, of course you won’t see the lies or the assumptions that the article implies. The article is quite inflammatory to Jill. It appears she has been cleared of any involvement but this ā€œjournalistā€ continues to imply association equals cause. The whole thing could have been reported much more professionally. Honestly, why does this ā€œnews organizationā€ continue to post about this? The victim shouldn’t have to have this bright up all the time to the public.
