Rich Rebel/ Ice Dancer Help?

I have a wonderful Irish sports horse out of the above, and would love to know where he was born etc.
I don’t have much to go on.
Can anyone help?

According to Sport Horse Breed database, Rich Rebel was born in the US in 1983 and sent to Ireland where he stood for a man named Sean Kenneally, Cullenagh Stud. He was used to produce Sport Horses and had at least 9 Advanced Horses. He was the sire of the many time 4* horse, Tubber Rebel and the 4* horse, King Richard.

I found a 1996 mare named Ice Dancer on CapallOir. She is chestnut and is by Candle King and is an ISH. Without paying, I can’t get information on her dam or her progeny or her breeder. This mare is not on Sport Horse Breed Database.

If there is anyone here with a CapallOir membership, they might get the extra information and find your horse.

It seems pretty clear that s/he was bred in Ireland.

here is some progeny of rich rebel sorted by those that have competed to a reasonable standard.

ice dancer jumped in 2 novice classes and is not listed as the dam of any ish offspring in the IHB database capailloir.

the dam of ice queen known as lady in waiting (Sire: KINGS SERVANT Dam: ALL ON THE BLACK) produced a 3 star eventer with Sharon hunt of GB called Charmed by kitealy spring. and another full sibling of Charmed called KING OF THE GYPSIES which evented to 1 star.

It may be worth contacting the breeding dept of HSI during the week and asking if they have some more info on your mare.

Thank you so much for your help

Sorry Wigum, I am such a novice at this, what does HSI stand for?

Horse Sport Ireland. It’s the body, probably a sort of government agency, that controls breeding and competition in Ireland. The breeding arm is/was the Irish Horse Board (IHB).
