Ride - new ranch/rodeo drama series on Hallmark

Anyone else watching? It’s not about horses directly, but the main family runs a cattle ranch with members being bull riders and trick riders. Typical soapy drama, but I’m interested to continue watching. No spoilers

I forgot about it until the first episode was almost over, but they’re going to show it again on Saturday. I’ve got the DVR set to record in case I forget again.

My impression is that it’s supposed to be a less violent, less profane, and maybe less morally challenging version of Yellowstone.

I haven’t seen Yellowstone. It had an episode featuring actual prominent reiners, right?

The horse stuff on Yellowstone is great. Big name reiners have appeared on more than one episode, as have some big name horses. For example, Metallic Cat was a “guest star” on one episode.

I was interested at first then saw some of the longer ads for it and figured “oh ick, Hallmark.”
I will pass for now.

What did you think OP?

Yeah, Hallmark generally = :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
But I have horse friend whose late husband was a bullrider & she’s a Hallmark fan.
I’ll text her in case she wants to watch :+1:

Haha I’ve been known to watch a cheesy Hallmark movie every now and then, but I haven’t seen any of their tv shows before. I haven’t seen Yellowstone so I can’t compare it to that, but Ride is like a nighttime soap/drama you would see on network tv. There is a main mystery that I assume will unravel throughout the season. (Reminds me of early Desperate Housewives.) I enjoyed it and plan to keep watching.
