Ride safe bracelets instead of armbands!

I’ll second that. I ordered two RoadID’s… separate orders. I got them in about 4 days.

I absolutely love Road Id bracelets…super inexpensive and I ordered on a wednesday nite and had bracelet by Monday in the mail. When the bracelet needs washing it goes in the shower with me.

Chiming in late here… I’ve been wearing a RoadID pretty much round the clock for four years. I jog and I ride. When I hit my head a few years back and was knocked pretty much senseless, my bracelet put my trainer in contact with my husband in a matter of minutes. I prefer the nylon RoadID but I also have and use the slim silicone ones too. I have both the regular (non interactive) and the online one. If I have a question about cell coverage, I wear both.

I got my RoadID in 4 days, too! Great service. And the slim one comes with 1 year free of internet service. That might be true of all of them.

I ended up getting one of these for $8 on sale. It has access the online info but nothing printed on it. Not sure if it meets the rule standard or not. It is so poorly worded in my opinion.

Either way, I have a bracelet already that just has my name and emergency contact stuff on it so I figure if neither is sufficient alone I’ll wear both together. Haha

I ordered a RoadID bracelet. I really like the look and the idea of it. I feel like most emergency responders arent going to be getting online to look at your medical information.

I just want to note that after wearing a Ride-Safe bracelet daily for almost 3 years, the ID number on the back does wear out.

I still like it as it is something to identify the body when I hack out.[/QUOTE]

Yes. And I usually wear very bright clothing so they can find me in the bushes.

And around here, so that at least if they decide to shoot me for entertainment, they’ll have to come up with a better story as to why they thought the rainbow-coloured homeless-looking person was a deer (it doesn’t matter that it is not deer season, sigh).

I got my bracelet really quick and am very happy with it. Wore it all this past weekend without problems and was really very easy to fit to my wrist. FWIW.

Finally got my Ride Safe bracelet today in the mail. I ordered it on March 3. It’s now April 18. That’s almost 7 weeks. No acknowledgment of the delay in my package or any other form.

RoadID is clearly winning this horse race.

Yep, I ordered from RoadID on a Tuesday afternoon, and had the bracelet and extra band in hand by Saturday afternoon. Its comfortable and easy to read, and I think I’m going to order one of their pet IDs for my dog’s collar as well, as much hiking as we do. I haven’t gotten to use it at event yet, but I’m going to be wearing it while traveling in the next two weeks.

jn4jenny-I ordered mine the same day as you and have yet to see it. I did file a paypal dispute which forced the owner of the company to email me but I STILL do not have my bracelet. Lesson learned…Next time RoadID for sure!!

I ordered my ridesafe bracelet within a week of the rule change announcement. Just came yesterday. Never got an email with anticipated delivery and no apologies/explanation with the bracelet.

I got my Road ID within a week of ordering - not sure how long it took, exactly, as I for a few days during the time period it arrived.

Here’s hoping that, whatever ID we ordered, that we never actually need to resort to them!

I got my bracelet and extra band from RoadID after reading on COTH about the issues with delivery time of the RideID. I got mine within a week, probably less I wasn’t paying that much attention since an event was on the horizon for us just wanted to be safer.

I ordered mine in the first week of march, I emailed today and she replied very quickly, she told me that all the ones she sent off that were ordered from that week are coming back from the engraver now. She is at Rolex this week and she said I will get mine as soon as she gets back. If you email and just say you are checking in she will explain everything. I have never had a problem getting I. Touch and everyone needs to remember that they gave the OK for these brackets and everyone ordered one. I am sure she is backed up and trying to keep everything straight, just talk to her before you file disputes!

Exactly my experience. I sent a courteous email and got a courteous reply. My bracelet arrived less than a week later. There is a HUGE difference between two vets doing this as a side business on top of their already hectic schedules and a big national company like RoadID. If I’d needed mine earlier, I might have gone with RoadID… but I wanted to support a small equine business so I politely waited for my RideSafe. And now I have it and love it.

Can you all imagine the response they got after those press releases and blog posts?! And can you imagine doing this yourself as a side business on top of your regular job? I know that I would have a very tough time keeping up on all those orders too.

In that case, agreeing to be a marketing partner for USEA without taking steps to be able to handle the increased volume (hiring help, finding additional suppliers /engravers) was a poor business decision. The increased orders should not have come as a surprise. Now their business is suffering from the negative PR. Doesn’t mean they aren’t wonderful, hardworking people. But wonderful people can still make bad business decisions.

Have had my ride safe bracelet about a month and have only worn it on weekends and the few times I have time to ride-the engraving is so worn both on the top and the number below that it is illegible. grrr.

Great company and you can register multiple items against your profile, your bracelet , saddle tag, phone label…

No internet connectivity needed. If some one finds you in a lump somewhere, or finds your horse that took off on you, they can call and talk to a real live person.
