Ride Safe ID bracelets...great idea!

I loved the vendor who had the rider ID bracelets. I have had a runners ID tag to wear on my shoes for years, but these were really cool…neat colors, the ability to enter and update information. These make more sense then the medical arm bands IMO and they are something to wear at the barn, at shows or when on a hack! Check out the website www.teamridesafe.com. Excellent idea! (I ordered one for me and two to keep my friends safe…one a horse rider and one a bike rider!)

My vet and his wife  they’re the best! Ordered mine. Can’t wait to get it.

Intesting idea, I did not see them at the trade fair. I looked at their website but I do not see a picture of what they look like on your wrist. I would really like to be able to judge size etc. Did I miss it?

Good idea, at least based the minimal info provided on the website. I would to learn more before putting my data on an incomplete website.

Yeah, the website offered nothing. I want to see one up close, etc.

I have the cyclists version I put more about my health than numbers… since I have a somewhat rare problem ( Chiari malformation) I put stabilize neck ASAP and my parent and drs numbers no names I just assumed they it didn’t matter names

I was told recently of a bracelet that you “load your info onto, from a computer”,I think they said it was only $20,I thought it was an excellent idea.

There is a teeny glimpse of one on the rider on her wrist with her watch - on the page where they show the colours under the banner “shop”.

I have a RoadID - how is it different from that? www.roadid.com

USB bracelet

I was curious about the bracelet mentioned and found this website that had them, in case anyone is interested.

And they were $20 but you can also get them at Walmart, Walgreens and I expect most outlets.

It’s an interesting thought.

I also Googled Emergency ID bracelets and there are so many of them now. There are even very ‘fashionable’ ones with steep price tags.

So there would be one out there for any budget. Of course being able to support someone in the ‘horse’ industry would be great if it fits the budget.

Id for dogs and horses, too

I looked at the site tpup shared and they also have a Scout id and it even mentions in the description that it’s works on a horses bridle!

I have a Road ID as well. They have several different ones including interactive ones, etc. but I just chose to have the plain ‘sport’ one.

I have a Road ID and it is awesome. I wear it while riding, running, and traveling alone. Mine is the sport version and it’s just like a LIVESTRONG bracelet material/fit and I never notice it. Mine includes name, DOB, parent’s # and blood type.

I ordered mine last week. I know Dr’s Stephanie and Chad Davis personally - their website is still being built, so if you order one, they will send you an email to confirm what information you want printed on the bracelet.

Mine has my name, city, 2 emergency numbers, and Bee Allergy on it

I’m sure they would love feedback - I bugged them about the close up photo too

RideSafe and RoadId look the same except for pricing. I love my RoadId!!!

I have a few Road IDs and I love them. They’re pretty much always on and always when I ride. I started out with the regular one but now have the one that stores my info on the computer too. My toddler also wears one - heaven forbid he get lost, but should it happen at least my phone # is on him.

We haven’t had to field test them so far but better safe than sorry!

This is a great idea. Especially the medical history bracelet…you can pull up everything by plugging into a computer. I would guess though events aren’t supporting this yet. I’d buy one once they transfer to it.
The current ID armbands are too large for my daughter to wear. They don’t stay on her arm and just cause more irritation than anything else.

I like the idea of it, even without the integration with events, because I ride out alone quite a bit (and on roads). I also compete and lesson alone a good deal. My dressage coach doesn’t know my medical history or who she should call if I get unloaded, so it will be nice to have on me when it arrives.

Plus, if I EVER get to ride my bikes again, it will be good for that, too.

I have a Road ID bracelet for riding, and it’s tied in to their computer system so it would be very easy for “first responders” to learn about my various medical conditions, rellatives’ contact info, etc.

I would love to support a rider-specific version but will wait for now, because I have 3 years pais membership with Road ID.

I’ve had a RoadID for a few years now (bought it because I ride a green horse alone a lot), and have been waiting for it to ‘count’ as a medical armband…yippeee!

When I first signed up I sent RoadID a note suggesting that they consider marketing to equestrians, but never heard back. I’m so glad someone has taken that step!

Although I’d like to support the equestrian version I too am tied in with RoadID at this point, and I also really like the thinner band without a clasp that RoadID offers…when I had the wider version with clasp (it was RoadID but looks identical to the Ride Safe one) the clasp very occasionally scratched my saddle gullet as I flung the saddle around in a hurry. Hopefully Ride Safe will develop the thinner band option as well  Regardless, this is a great product and I’m super excited that it is catching on in the equestrian world!
