Riding aggravates Bakers cyst any management tips?

I have a Bakers cyst in a knee that will be replaced in mid December. Riding appears to aggravate the bakers cyst. Not while I’m riding but when I get off. I rider with breeches, padlock boots, half chaps and BOT knee braces. But the cyst just swells up when I take the braces off. The doctor tried draining it but that was unsuccessful and he said if he couldn’t drain it he couldn’t’ inject it. So anyone have any good maintenance tips until my surgery?

Could you keep the brace or some other kind of support on there for a while after you ride?
To continue compression may keep it from blowing up again.

Those cysts are a losing battle.
Once the bursa is stretched, it tends to stay that way easily.

If you are going to surgery, injecting it would not be good, may interfere with what the surgery needs to rehab that joint.

Good luck with the surgery.

Have you tried wearing compression stockings?
