Riding app for time intervals during rides

Could anyone remind me of the phone app(s) that allows you to set different timers for your rides? I mean, I want my phone to ping me at intervals that I have pre-set. For instance, ping me at four minutes, then at 8 minutes, then at 10 minutes, etc.

I used to have one of these apps and it was simple and helpful, but I haven’t used it in a few years and now that I want it, it is nowhere to be found.

Thank you in advance!

Did you search for interval training apps?

I use Tabata Timer for my Android phone.

I’ve got it set up so that it gives me a 60 second warning before my next conditioning set. It will say “Prepare: trot 2 minutes”, then gives me a ding when it’s time to start. Gives me time to get organized from a free walk to a working walk, or trot for a moment before we make our canter depart.

One COTHer asked if my horse just followed the sound of the app. I try to use it as a general guide. So if he is in a good spot to make a good transition, I may start my set sooner. If he’s not quite composed for a clean downward transition I may go on for a few strides. I mean he hardly listens to me anyway…why would he listen to Mrs. Robot Voice? :joy: She doesn’t even hand out cookies.

I’ve used a free app called interval timer in the past and it worked well for timing rehab sessions
