Looking for recommendations on jeans for riding especially ones that don’t have a seam in the crotch area, if ya know what I mean;)
I don’t care of the stretchy breech type material and don’t need a knee/leg patch.
Thanks.

Longrider has a riding jean that’s on my bucket list, but I can’t justify paying $160 for a pair of jeans, but they look pretty darned amazing!

I’ve been pretty pleased lately with the new Ariat REAL riding jeans. And of course the old Wrangler standbys, available in many styles and colors. Both have seams, obviously, but they’re flat stitched and I’ve never had an issue with them.
I wear the Wrangler Q Baby jeans and haven’t ever had any problems with the seams. I really like them.
Aura & Q-Baby by Wrangler are the best, hands down!
*edited to say I meant Aura, definitely not Ariat…boy, I must have been more tired than I thought that day
I love Levi’s, but they do have the seam. Doesn’t bother me though. They wear like iron.
Wrangler Auras. They are made specifically for riding. You might want to buy a size smaller than you usually wear.
Ditto the Q-Babys by Wrangler - the first pair of jeans I bought specifically for riding!
I second the Wrangler Auras. They’re the only jeans I’ll wear (also the only ones that fit right, but that’s beside the point. LOL)
How do Auras compare to Q-babys? Which is a lighter weight & more stretchy? I am not a jeans person & have a bad back so which would be the easier of the two to wear? I prefer the ones with the polyester in them. Thanks.
I’ve never tried Q-babys but the Auras are fairly heavy denim, which I like. You can get some with minimal spandex, but if you are looking for stretchy, they are probably not your first choice.
I was a die-hard Aura girl, until my mother-in-law gave me my first pair of Q-baby’s…wow. They are just comfy, at least to me. I thought my Aura’s would be with me until I died of old age, but I wear them much less than Q-baby jeans. These are just somehow a bit more fitted, a bit more comfy, and both offer some stretch. Keep in mind any jeans with a lot of stretch will bag like a diaper in a few hours, and sag in the thighs, crotch, etc., that is not comfy by any means. Small amounts are best, and also, wear out slower. I think with wear & washing both Aura & Q-baby are soft, comfy, and durable, but if asked to pick a preference, as I said, I’ll go Q-baby every time out!
I say try Smooth Stride. Made in the USA. Owned by a friend of mine. They have plain jeans, full seat, and knee patch.
