Ring Bags

Curious what everyone is using for their ring bags. I am using an old Grand Prix backpack that is just about due for replacement.

I like the samshield bag, but I got it in Europe where it was significantly cheaper than they sell for here. I like all the pockets, and how durable it is when I just toss it around.

I tried a cheaper bag from Horze at one point, and the zipper split the second time I used it. So definitely don’t recommend that one.

Are you able to fit your helmet in the bag (not the outside pocket/sling)?

I have the Veltri Sport largest backpack, and it’s hard to fit the helmet in the designated pocket if you have much of anything in the main compartment.
But it does look quite nice.

I love this backpack. Idk if it is still available. It does have a place for a helmet. Ariat Backpack It is probably not a cool bag, but I love it.

I usually use the sling. I could fit it in the bag myself if I wanted, but that’s usually where I put my scrim, a couple brushes, my sweater or jacket, a towel, etc.

I have an old GPA back pack that has worn like iron. I don’t know what I will do if I ever have to replace it.

I have the Samshield ring bag and really like it. Tons of room, well designed and has taken a beating quite well. A friend has the LeMieux backpack and really likes it but I haven’t tried it myself so can’t really speak to the comparison but the Samshield was worth the cost.

Curious if anyone has the EquiFit backpack? Looks pretty nice and less expensive than Samshield.

I have one of the kerrits backpacks and it has served me well. It has worn well, but my one complaint would be that the faux leather has come unattached at the top of the bag (it covers the nylon top loop). It’s not completely detached, but hanging it by that top loop (which is my go to) looks a little dicey at times. That may be a me problem from putting too much in the bag, but I have a feeling it will give way at some point.

An old ACEs hardware bucket. No fancy but it holds all I need.

I love this I am looking to carry my stuff to my lessons (helmet, gloves, spurs, hair stuff, treats, etc.) so this wouldn’t be ideal for me, but I love the idea of toting around a Home Depot bucket!

I use a baseball bag. Tons of pockets and not crazy expensive.

I used a Huntley when I was showing…. Now I use it when travelling. I love it and it’s indestructible
