then end of an era.
many hugs.
even though we know we won’t share the road forever, it never eases the pain when we part ways.

I saw this on Facebook - very sad.
I have always admired this beautiful boy and his wonderful offspring.
So sorry for your loss, Liz. What a legacy he leaves!
So Sad…
A friend just let me know…then I saw this here.
A a wonderful tobiano stallion! A great loss to us colored breeders.
Many hugs Liz…
May he gallop free and happy over the Rainbow Bridge. He will be part of the Rainbow himself!!

Liz, I’m so sorry to hear this. What a long and illustrious life he had – and contributed so much! Such a gorgeous stallion.
Many condolences to Liz, who also lost her mother not too long ago.
As for the number of Art Deco offspring - there are several hundred of them listed with USEF, and Lord only knows how many never got recorded with USEF at all. I wonder if he has more offspring recorded with USEF than any other warmblood stallion. Anyone know?
What an amazing legacy this stallion left behind. He will be missed. Condolences to all connected with him.
RIP, grand old man. You definitely left a mark in the sport horse world. Hugs to Liz.
My heartfelt condolences to Liz and Godspeed to Art Deco who had a most wonderful life and will live on through his glorious get. I showed right next to him at the ABIG USDF Reg. 1 Championships one year, and we shared the same QuikSilver! He was truly special and will be missed.
I am sorry that he has died. But I’m happy that he lived to be so old. His sire Samber was in his 30s when he died a few years ago. I’m hoping that my Samber grandson makes it to 30 yrs of age.
Art Deco was a great example of conformation (and color).
So sorry for your loss of this great horse. He was a beautiful stallion.
RIP Art Deco! I have loved that horse since I first saw him back in the 90s. We’ve got a daughter of his at our farm for training - she’s gorgeous to look at and very sweet.
Very sorry to hear this Liz.
RIP Art Deco - you opened so many doors for colored sport horses - you will be remembered! Over the Rainbow Bridge, grazing happily in the great green pastures…
So sorry to hear this! I have one of his babies–got great color from him and probably the smartest horse I’ve every had the pleasure to ride. What a great stallion!
I have always loved Art Deco from afar, he was just so handsome and a proven performance horse, too. I have a daughter of his who always produced my best foals, and I now own her son, so the line continues in my barn. They are smart, flashy, great movers, and good workers…RIP beautiful boy!
OH -I am so sad - I was just thinking about him as I walked my 24 yo Art Deco son Himalaya out to the field, the other day. We bred 3 different mares to Art Deco - all were solids and had 5 pintos from those breedings and no solids.
Himalaya has been a wonderful standout - everyone who knows him or has worked on him (farriers, Vets) always agree when I say - this horse has NEVER done anything wrong!
Art Deco will be missed - Liz I know this was hard for you. xoxo
I’m so sorry.
