Passed away today at age 81. Most well known for training Alysheba.

RIP. I will never forget Alysheba’s Derby. Only Derby I have attended in person - and quite possibly the last one, too, as it was a madhouse, but still was a wonderful experience. Mom went with me on that trip, and the day before, we visited the KHP, and she took a pic of me with John Henry. When I was back for WEG, I paid tribute at both John’s and Alysheba’s graves outside the Hall of Champions.
All the remarks I’ve read online today reflect what a great horseman he was.
