Saw the news on one of my FB community boards this morning that local legend Skeeter passed away. For those not from this area, Skeeter made & repaired tack, boots, etc. His prices were always reasonable, his work fantastic, and he was nice as could be. Back in the days of stiff, zipperless tall boots; a sustained a serious leg fracture coming off a rearing horse. When she was ready to ride again, she couldn’t get that leg back into her boots. Skeeter managed to put a zipper into the boot & then remove it without a trace after her leg was back to normal.
