Might have been worthwhile. I think he will be influential as a side and it was all about the Totilas sons at the stallion shows this year.

A highlight of my life was standing on the rail of the make up arena at WEG 2010 watching Edward Gal warm up Totilas for the afternoon GP. He was not just magnificent, he had the “lets go to work” attitude of a seasoned cow pony doing a job. He appeared to enjoy his work, unlike many of the other horses I saw warming up. that afternoon.

I think any discussion of Totilas should include the tragedy of his life as well. As usual Horse Magazine has the best POV on the subject in my view.

Also, Werth’s comments were not in poor taste - she was speaking up on behalf the horse: “they chose coveted success over horse welfare.” That is never, ever in poor taste.

Also, I read somewhere that he was bought in part as Olympic strategy for the Germans–to prevent the Dutch team from winning gold, and to increase the chance that Germany would win.
