So sorry for your loss.

Coreene - I was gone over the weekend and just sat down to my desk and learned of this sad news. Along with others, I have tears in my eyes.
Tears of sympathy for the heavy sadness you must be feeling; tears of appreciation for your special bond with the Big Red Guy and how you shared your love for him with all of us in such a witty and memorable way.
You probably have no idea how many people got such an absolute kick out of Willem’s posts. I forwarded a few to some non-horsey friends, with the explanation that this came from a German-bred horse who “posted” on an internet BB, I think it’s hilarious, what do you think?
Wouldn’t you know, I would receive emails back from people who had never laid eyes on a horse saying how much they LOFFED Willem’s musings.
Really, there are so many things that occur during the course of a day that conspire to bring us down in the dumps; reading a Willem post was a such a silly fun moment, a break to remind us to keep laughing in the midst of it all. Thank you for giving all of us that.
Please take care of yourself, Coreene. You were a good caretaker of that special horse right to the end, and that is, after all, what we are called to be: good stewards of the blessings, such as a good horse, that God bestows on us.
Take comfort in that until your heart heals a bit and you can cherish those 11 years together without grieving.
Coreene, thanks for sharing your dear Willem with everyone here.
It’s the ones that make the greatest impact in their life that create the greatest vaccuum when they go, isn’t it? Thoughts are with you while you wait for the vaccuum to be filled with the warmest of memories.
Take care of yourself.

My sincere condolences Coreene.
Condolences and <<<<hugs>>>>.
Years ago I found an Arabian quotation - “The Wind of Heaven is that which blows between a horse’s ears”. Certainly now the Wind of Heaven is that which blows between Willem’s ears.
Coreene, I am so sorry. You did the right thing for Williem. God bless.

I am just so sorry. I almost cried as soon as I noticed what thread had had the most recent post here, and when I read it I was bawling. Such sad news. I hope it helps a little to see that he meant so much to so many people and from so many places, and that everyone here will be missing him too. We’re thinking of you.
The hooves of horses!
Oh! witching and sweet
Is the music earth steals from the iron-shod feet;
No whisper of lover, no trilling of bird,
Can stir me as much as hooves of horses
Have stirred.

Wir vermissen Sie, Willem. Godspeed!
Coreene I am so sorry for your loss. Willem was a very lucky horse to have found his way into your life.
Oh no Coreene!! I’m so, so , so sorry
My thoughts are with you. We’ll all miss Willem.

Coreene,
I am so sorry that you lost Willem. I will sorely miss his posts (unless, like someone said, he can be channeled from the beyond, which would be wonderful).
I completely admire your selflessness in letting him go when he told you it was time to go. And I am so glad that you kept your stall, because there is another horse out there who needs your love as much as you need his.
Okay, I have to stop typing so I don’t start bawling in the middle of the office.
I read about this on the EMG BB. A fellow bber sent the link to me. I am amazed at what a legend Willem has become. I see people talking about stuff they loff on a number of horsey-bbs and I always smile and think of Willem. I’m very sorry to hear the news and I send my condolences.
Marge, with today’s gasoline prices, we can’t afford NOT to buy a pony!
I am in complete shock. I did not expect to see this post.
God speed Willem. You will be missed but always loved.

Oh Coreene,
I am sooo very sorry. Willem brought so much laughter and happiness to all of us and we will always remember how wonderful he is! We loff you!

Dearest Coreene,
Please forgive me. I have just heard.
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. But I know that Willem could not have asked for a better modder (he still loffs you) and that he was as blessed to have you as you were to have him. Thank you for sharing a small part of him with us.
So, here’s to you, Big Red Horse. I am sure that the original Beezer has already introduced you around and that you, he and Jazz – my own beloved Big Red Horse – have already hoisted a few and are swapping tales of exploits of yore.
And what grand ones they were.
Dear Sam: All I really want for my birthday is FLYING LEAD CHANGES!!
This is truly just awful. I read the title of this post and burst into tears.
Coreen- as it has been said, I am soooo sorry this happened. You did your best and I am sure Willem thanks you for all your hard work dedication and red apples. This BB won’t be the same without him.
Even though I never met the Big Guy, I felt that I knew him and I will miss him very terribly.
Lots of hugs and still more loff for you Coreen.
