I’m mostly a lurker, but I had to respond because, like everyone else, I’ve gotten caught up in Meister Willem’s saga.
You and he both fought a good fight. Partners all the way! He’ll no doubt be impressing all comers over the Rainbow Bridge with his erudite, accented commentaries.
Coreene, I am so very sorry for your loss. I feel like I have gotten know both you and Willem through COTH, and I am truly sad to hear the news.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
That day was the hardest day in my life. I had to stay strong for my best friend Coreene but at the same time, I was loosing my favorit fat red horse. I just couldn’t think of what life would be like not having him there. It is so hard to let go, even when we know we are doing the right thing. I went down to the barn later tonight to see my horse Barney. He seemed so still. Even though he wasn’t stabled next to Willem, he knew his friend had moved on. He stood there with his head in my chest as I cried, as we cried.
Willem, I Love you & I will FOREVER MISS YOU!
