RJ Classics shadbelly

Anyone have one? Educate me on the different “lines” RJ classics carries. Is “Sterling Collection” the top, bottom or middle?

Looking for a shadbelly for amateur and see these pop up on FB and/or ebay. I won’t wear it more than 2x per year, but needs to fit well, and be good fabric that drapes well.

I have one, but it’s 15 years old. I know that doesn’t help you, except to say that they do tend to last if well taken care of.

I bought this exact one a few weeks ago. Love it but I found it runs smaller than their regular coats. Normally I’m a 6/8 in their Extreme soft shell line and I took a 10 in this one. Nice shad, washable and lightweight. I guess sizing depends on how fitted you want it - my advice is try it on or buy a couple sizes to try. Good luck!

Right now the RJ and Essential Collections are their lowest price point, Xtreme Grey Label is middle price point (I believe this was previously called Sterling), and Xtreme Orange Label is highest.

I stock the Grey Label which Credosporthorses linked above and think they’re fabulous for the price - nice lightweight fabric with a lovely drape and reversible points.

I bought this exact one a few weeks ago. Love it but I found it runs smaller than their regular coats. Normally I’m a 6/8 in their Extreme soft shell line and I took a 10 in this one. Nice shad, washable and lightweight. I guess sizing depends on how fitted you want it - my advice is try it on or buy a couple sizes to try. Good luck!

I agree with this. I have a RJ Extreme soft shell hunt coat in 2 and the shad in 4, and the shad is actually a bit snugger.

I have one, it’s lovely. Washes well. The points were a little boring for me, so I made several new pairs, a pink tattersall, a lovely quiet blue paisley, a wild pink/green plaid (picture Lilly Pulitzer colors), a vintage horse print on a canary yellow background, I like to have a little bit of original fun in my attire.

I also second the RJ shadbelly. I’ve had mine about two years and still looks great. Easy to wash and comfortable to wear. Mine is the RJ Classics Extreme.

I have one from the Sterling line. I love it. I would highly recommend checking eBay for deals as well. I think I purchased mine for around $80 (used on eBay).
