I think those who were willing to give Robbie the benefit of the doubt after his last arrest for domestic violence won’t be so agreeable this time around. What a jerk.

I’m totally you M. His attitude in interviews was enough to turn me off of him. Domestic violence? Sealed the deal.
Heard from a friend he comitted first degree assault on Willie Martinez’s sister, she is in pretty rough shape.
Woman beating douches deserve to fry. I could care less who he rode or is affiliated with or could one day ride or be affiliated with.
It’s never ok to beat on women. He’s a douche.
We all want to string P Val for being an addict. AND he did do emotional harm which is equally as bad as Albarado, BUT PVAl didn’t make it worse by beating on anyone. He was to busy being paranoid in the fireplace or under the coffee table…
Per our local news:
“Churchill Downs stewards suspended Albarado indefinitely. He will not be able to ride again until he goes goes before the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission’s license review committee.”
Those were no small injuries…Hope this sheds more light on domestic abuse when well known people are held up in court.
Still suspended from riding and on Wed May 16th denied reinstatement in Kentucky. Looks like he’s not going to be riding for at least 2-months.
A committee of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission on Wednesday denied a request by jockey Robby Albarado to lift his suspension so he could ride while awaiting trial on a charge that he abused his girlfriend.
The commission’s License Review Committee deferred ruling on Albarado’s license until the resolution of his criminal case, which is set for trial July 18.
[His attorney, Mindy Coleman,] said Albarado’s finances are tied up in his divorce proceedings and that he is the “sole bread winner” for his wife and three children. She said he couldn’t provide for them unless his suspension is lifted. She also said he had met with a Churchill Downs counselor, who also spoke to the committee.
But committee member Ned Bonnie, an attorney, said, “That falls on deaf ears with me. I know Mr. Albarado’s net worth.”
still suspended?
He needs to hire Rick Dutrow’s lawyer:uhoh:. I realize they are different jurisditions, but, one is still spinning his webs, and the other is unemployed. I am not saying one is better or worse, they deserve each other.
July 12, 2012 (Daily Racing Form) "Albarado found guilty of assault
A Jefferson County, Ky., jury has found jockey Robby Albarado guilty of fourth-degree wanton assault of a former girlfriend in a high-profile domestic violence case that occurred Kentucky Derby week.
Beyond the $500 fine the jury recommended for the assault, the conviction could place Albarado in further legal troubles, and jeopardize his riding career.
Albarado’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for Aug. 18.
This is the second time that Albarado, 38, a leading rider in Kentucky, has been charged with domestic assault.
So will he still ride this Saturday in three graded stakes races at Arlington Park that he’s been named on? I suppose so with the sentence not yet handed down and an appeal likely. Race 8 - American Derby (Gr. 3) on Silver Max for Dale Romans; Race 9 - Arlington Handicap (Gr. 3) on Proceed Bee for Scott Becker; and Race 10 - Stars and Stripes Stakes (Gr. 3) on Free Fighter for trainer Michael Reavis.
