CoughVPNcough…
I’ve been banned a time or two from groups / forums. My most spectacular ban was from a raw cat feeding group, where I commented that my cats got (and liked) a little crumbled spinach in their meat. I think it was about 50g/kg. The mods blocked, then mocked me. Had no idea. Feeding groups and hoof care groups have to be the absolute worst for “I’m right, you’re WRONG” behaviours.
There is a group or forum on feeding cats raw food? And you were banned because you said you mixed in a little spinach? That is sick or hilarious, I’m not sure which.
It was over in Current Events. A couple y’alls is all it took! While they were laughing about Qanon, they had their own unfounded conspiracy theories rolling like wildfire.
At any rate, this thread is the wrong venue to hash that out. Just wanted to laugh at hypocrisy every chance I get. Some might not understand - there is some nuance to it.
It was a Facebook group, yes. They believed in feeding cats 100% meat, which I do agree with. However, I had found several recipes that included small amounts of nutrient-rich veg. Even the commercial BARF cat foods include small amounts, and my cats (very fussy) actually liked the spinach. So I thought I was doing the right thing.
While I was wedding planning about a decade ago, I was both a) banned from a wedding site for questioning the necessity of videographers b) told by the operator of an estate sale that she would call the police on me because I put some vases (for centerpieces) on the “sold” table and then asked to change my mind.
My husband loves to remind me of both incidents. I’m looking forward to telling him about these raw catfood groups!
