Now I’m curious…
Now, every time I have seen Ludger have a microphone stuck into his face after a not-so-great (by his standards, anyway!) round, he has always had some charmingly mispronounced yet amazingly sportsmanlike thing to say. “Such is life,” “Showjumping, she is cruel,” etc. Anyway, I just read in Horse Sport that when he and his beast bulldozed that wall during World Cup, although neither was injured, Ludger was sore the next day. What did he have to say about that? “It is right that I should suffer and not the horse, as it was my mistake for being too aggressive.” Just thought that was kind of cool .
Cheers,

I’m glad to see him in a helmet with a chin strap.
It sure looked to me like Ludger got zonked on the side of his head but I guess we’d have to ask him to be absolutely sure. I was watching the rerun at 11 and my recollections might not be perfect (past my bedtime). It sure was exciting having three jump offs!
Not just a rider but a HORSEMAN too!!! Good for him!!! (Americans could be learning something here…)
