Rogaine or Lilash Eyelash Growth Stimulator on a horse's tail?

Crazy idea, I know, but curious if anyone has tried it. I see it makes eye lashes grow; I wonder if it would make a tail thicker or longer?

The company might have a whole new targeted market that they didn’t know exi$ted $elling it to hor$e people!

The only thing that makes a horse’s tail thicker or longer is a) its genes and b) making sure it has proper nutrition.

You can try and save what you have, by not brushing it daily and maybe keeping a tailbag on it…but as far as growing hair with eyelash goo (which I’m not even convinced works on eyelashes) I think that’s a bit far fetched…

Wow, that would be one EXPENSIVE tail! You can buy a switch for that…

I’ve had a lot of luck using Rainmaker to thicken and grow tails.

All that stuff says it is, is veeeeeerrrrrry expensive “conditioner”. A tiny amount in a tiny bottle, with a whopper of a price tag. I would think that any of the MUCH less pricey horse tail specific contitioners would do just as well. Matter of fact, if I wanted to condition my own eyelashes, I’d just put some pantene or biolage on 'em in the shower with my eyes closed, then rinse. I’d think conditioning eyelashes would be of limited use, however.

There is some other stuff for eyelashes that is prescription only, drops that you put in your eye. Not sure how that works but doubtful it would be absorbed by a horse’s tail skin. You’d likely have better luck with rogaine…

My main thought was how profitable it would be for such companies to repackage and market their products to horse people. Some horse people would actually buy the stuff!

Lilash is growth stimulator, and according to the testamonials page it does work at growing eye lashes and eye brows.

Rogaine - now that’s another thought. Another product that could be repackaged and sold to horse people.

Minerva Louise, have you tried Rogaine?

Uh, NO. Do you have a horse with male pattern baldness of the tail???

I was joking.

You have to take “testamonials” with many large grains of salt. Lots of people will say fabulous things about a product when you pay them money!

Keep in mind that many of the large pharmaceutical companies manufacture not only drugs for people, but also for animals (Pfizer, for example) I am SURE if a drug works, they will repackage it and sell it to horse people. Trust me, the pharma companys exist for profit.

No, no male pattern baldness over here - me nor the horses! No female pattern baldness either!

Maybe I should get some of that Lilash stuff and try it on my arm pit? That way I can easily shave it off if it really does make hair grow!

Good point about the Pharm Co’s repackaging human products for animals. Omeprazole would be an excellent example of just that.

What would they name the product for horses?

TiTail?

MiMane?

MSM, MSM and more MSM…I recently had to cut the pony’s tail back, as it was 3 inches dragging the ground…and my hair is finally growing after many year of not, on a full dose of MSM daily.

Use the cheap Animed MSM from Jeffers or Horse.com. Great for everything!

I recommend Dermalmd Eyelash Serum. Since I have been using this my friends ask me what kind of mascara I am using because my lashes look fuller and longer. Great Stuff!!!

My friend had a foundation apply…really pathetic short, thin tail. She used coconut oil on it regularly and it made a huge difference. Thicker and down to her hocks. Of course, you are not going to overcome genetics but it was at least 3x thicker and about 6 inches longer than it had been. Coconut oil is lots cheaper:).
