They have just started to recognize the grooms pretty recently, within the last few years. Which is fantastic and also long overdue.

There are also multiple different show series these days where they give a separate prize check directly to the groom of the winning horse in the Grand Prix every week.

Now when they send out the press releases with the US riders who are named for international competitions, they mention the horse, the rider, the owner, and the groom who takes care of it.
