Rolled leather dog collars

I think this is what I’d like for my lab pup. Anyone use them? Love them? Where did you get yours?

I love them! My Lab used to wear one until he got a hound brother, who decided eating the leather collar was fun! Fennell’s makes a nice rolled collar with a brass nameplate. Plus, you can order your horse a nice new leather halter at the same time

Thanks guys! I’m tired of the nylon collars that get gross in a week. I appreciate the tips.

I got some really nice leather collars (not rolled, but I believe they also have them) from gundogsupply.com Been very happy with the quality and they shipped super fast with engraved name plates. No more tag jingles waking me up in the middle of the night!!!

Mine from Quillins are seven plus years old. Love them

Yes! They make great collars! All 3 of my dogs wear their biothane collars since the hound eats leather collars off his brother and sister. But prior to hound ownership I had one of their leather collars for awhile and it was great quality.

Quillins 1000%.

I also use Biothane on my dogs for everyday.

My dog has the exact same collar as the one posted above from Quillins. Excellent fast service, BIG letters for her name with our phone number for i.d., deeply engraved. The leather comes light brown and a bit new looking, but very soon softens with the dog’s coat oils into a lovely supple collar. Very handsome and she receives many compliments, not to mention that everyone knows her name. I know it will be very durable, with quality brass buckle.

Also, there is no dingle jingle from dog tags, or grey on her white neck from the aluminum rubbing.

Quillin’s, Fennells, and Freedman’s all make a great product. My dog had one from each. Quillins for every day, Fennells was for horse shows, so she matched my horse, and Freedman’s made her picture collar.

Don’t we love to spend money on our pets - us, ? Not so much!

Ha!

For those with big dogs, if you’d like to spend a little more, Quillins makes a LOVELY raised dog collar. It’s not on their site–special order, you do have to call. But it is a GORGEOUS collar, and quite unlike anything else offered. IIRC, it was about $60 for my 70 lb Ridgebacks–it’s their “grown up” wear.

These are the best as they are all sewn.
