Rooster's Tail Feathers Turning White

A friend of a friend found a rooster on the side of a busy highway in a nasty storm with his legs tied together. She named him Stormy and he ended up with me as I needed a rooster. I prefer to have one rooster for my hens. He had some white on his tail feathers when I got him but has since developed more white! Should I be concerned? Google wasn’t very helpful on this topic either. He seems to be healthy: crows, scratches, does the mating dance and deed with the ladies (don’t know if fertile since I only have one hen laying right now and will attempt to hatch eggs come spring). I think he has grown some since arriving as well. Chickens live in a more than big enough coop, are feed scratch, and have water available 24/7. On days where we can we let them out to free range (1-2 times a week). Coop has solid 3/4 walls with solid roof and mesh on the last 1/4. So any ideas as to what is causing the white in his tail feathers? I do like the look of it but worry it might be a sign of something I need to address.

Stormy when he first arrived

Stormy approximately 4 months later

Also, if anyone happens to know what breed of chicken he is, that would be awesome too.

I have a very similar rooster. I think he’s an arancana but I"m not sure. So beautiful… (I wouldn’t worry about the tail feathers if all else seems fine.)

I also have a similar rooster, dont have a clue what breed he is. His tail feathers are similar to Stormys. I did notice though, when he starts to molt he does get more white feathers in his tail.

I know nothing about chickens, but I love the white in his tail! He’s very handsome. Maybe he wasn’t quite healthy when you first got him and now he’s starting to bloom?

Eh…looks like a good ol’ game/fighting cock type you see around. Look up Google images of things like Johnnie Jumpers.

Just his coloring. I have a Production Red roo that has one white streak in his tail, makes him special.
